Guiding Light

Interesting. Through the eyes of a person running through the woods...being chased by a murderer! No but seriously, that's what it looks like

I think you could get that type of effect a little bit better. Perhaps try to actually run! And hold your cam steady with a slow shutter

Hadn't thought of that haha!

Joshua--
I have noticed a pattern of a lot of nit-picky comments from you on mine and lots of other's pictures without much constructive or positive things to say. In response to the comment on this picture, I didn't actually move the camera, it was done in post. I accept the notion of the moving the camera in the field and have used this technique before.

If you're just looking for something wrong with an image, which it seems you are, you'll always find it. No photo is perfect or ever will be. There's a difference between finding the good and bad in the image and offering constructive criticism based on this, versus just looking for something negative to say. This is a general observation based on a lot of comments from you on mine and other's posts.

Wow! That was a total coincidence! I swear I'm not trying to start something! I like to make suggestions for a lot of things, I always pst in the general gallery so I can critique pics! And I thought that you posted this because you wanted criticism, I'm sorry if I offended you!:oops:99% of my post are general critiques! I was trying to help, not be biast! If you don't want me to comment on your pics than just say so,:taped sh: SORRY!!!!!

I gladly accept critique. You did not offend me, I'm simply pointing out what I've observed.

okay, but I was just saying my 2 cents, and I no pic is perfect, I just suggest some experiments or things they could do. I know my pics aren't perfect. So Im a massive hypocrite, and I never actually say 'you have to' I just say, I think you could have or Perhaps a, they are pure suggestions!

You're a nice dude, so don't take it the wrong way. I just looked at some other threads you've responded to recently and you've said a lot of positive things, so I guess it is a coincidence-- maybe you just don't like my style ;). I guess my generalization was wrong, my apologies. You're entirely welcome to your opinion and I'm glad to see comments from you.

Thankyou! ANd I don't hate your style! I'm jealous of it! I love it! THis pic has a lot of emotion, amazing technique! Reminds me of a painting! I'm glad you understand!

I like this image. I was rather surprised to learn that the effect was NOT done in-camera, but was done in post! Pretty cool. I like this kind of impressionistic rendering, on many types of scenes. The world is absolutely filled with sharp, static images that show us every single detail in sharp relief; I find it refreshing to be exposed to photos that take a more-adventurous, and a less-conventional approach. Nice job!

Thanks Derrel, and for your input to get it here! This was a sucky, flat, POS shot before you set me straight ;)
