They make great watchdogs. They will alert to any movement. Supposedly you will have no tick or grasshopper problems. They are voracious insect eaters.

(that is a wonderful shot ... but my first reading of the title lead me to think of a Guinea Pig ... *sigh* but we all know that that pigs don't fly.)
