I like the retro feel. What I do not like is the background behind the guys head. The tree trunks are blending with his hair and growing out of his head.

I would have gone with a bit more background blur. Not enough to completely eliminate the background, but enough to not make it distracting as it is now.
As for the tire, its not that much of a distraction for me, though a bit of foreground would have done wonders here (also would have made it so the tire wasn't cut off)
