Well done to put these together to form a triptych!
Detail is best in the last, so I find, though I also like how his eye lid is half or quarter closed in the first (do they have two eye lids?).

(I had to speak that Latin name aloud several times, just to enjoy it )

I did the composite to show the Nictating membrane that is used to clean the eyes.
