Tonality and exposure is good, but your choice of f/4 has given too shallow a DOF and the child's palm is partly out of focus, which detracts from the image. As for the crop, the index finger of the larger hand is bumping against the right edge - feels a little too tight. The overall feel of the image is relaxed, but the cropping creates some tension.
