Visited Harpers Ferry based on the recommendation of member Soleshine. Didn't really have much of a second thought and went. I was glad!

It was pouring really heavily on our way there. We decided to just stick around since we were already in town. After an hour, the rain stopped and then the sun started to show its face. It's definitely a trip worth making.

We first stopped at the Appalachian trail visitor center and sure enough, there were a bunch of hikers taking shelter at the center.

Lots of photos, so I will pick a few for here. Feel free to see the rest here:

I took this shot 3 different times. This was taken at the end of the accessible part of the rail way bridge next to the train station. First time: cloudy, right after the rain had stopped. Second time, better light, but still cloudy. Third time, Sun came out and I can see blue sky! So I kept walking back to get the shots, annoyed my friend.

Would you believe me if I told you that I best like the leaf on the planks? ;-)

Your shadow on the last one (train tracks) bugs the crap out of me.

Otherwise, you've got a lot of keepers.
