Holy moly. This is what I've been waiting for, much too long. Minolta is releasing it's maxxum line of digital camera with the 7D.

Knowing my luck, probably in the 2-3 grand range. :roll: I haven't been able to find anybody that's spilling the expected price yet. It's still fun to drool over.

That wouldn't be bad. It have a magnification factor? The info on the site was pretty vague. I've got a sweet wide angle that would be awesome to use on this.

It's pretty much like the other DSLR's on the market. Still an APS sized sensor. The biggest selling point is that built in antishake which will cost you a ton of money if you plan on buying lenses with that technology.

this is also what i was waiting for even tho many ppl still think that minolta glass isn't as good as the other two major companies. I did read a review and the price they listed was 1150 pounds that works out to $2084.00 US dollars give or take. Read the review here

Great timing: same wife is just in the process of changing from Minolta to Nikon gear, partly because Minolta were showing no signs of releasing a proper DSLR that is compatible with Minolta Dynax/Maxxum-fit lenses, and if she ever goes down the DSLR route she didn't want two lots of incompatible kit :roll:
