Hayward Shoreline Sunset - C&C

Sunset on the path to the shoreline by my house.

Made by doing an exposure for the sky, then an exposure for the ground, and blending the exposures in Photomatix, not an HDR.

The water on the left of the frame doesn't match the sky. The halo isn't as much an issue at this resolution, but the chrome-like reflection you have on the water doesn't look natural. Pretty nice shot otherwise!

yeah, i think using a filter would produce better results. decent first try i guess. i have the raw files still, so maybe i'll redo it.

Replaced the image. Fixed it.

Definitely a better match. I like it, looks more real than most HDR's do although the process of masking that precisely is not for everyone.

yeah, i turned the strength down a lot to prevent it looking too fake.
