HDR Second try C&C and Sun Flare help.

Hey guys! My friend called me last night to take a few pictures of his truck since it was dirty. I used this oppurtunity to give HDR another try. It went pretty well IMO for my second try at hdr. The only thing im worried about is the knarly sun flare. In picture 1 its not as bad, but in picture 2 does it grab the attention away from the truck? Another question i have is if the sun flare is an easy fix with just a simple polarizing filter? Also how is the hdr in general? I was worrying about halos and ghosting (Due to my failed previous attempt). Anywho tear 'em up!

#1 I think is cool but I wish the flare isnt on the truck. Not sure about #2.

Does it ruin the pictures? And any words on the HDR?

Boy, that's a huge stack on the truck... oh wait, it's a pole. Watch your backgrounds. =) Overall, I like it though, the flare looks neat. The first one, the flare is poorly placed on the truck, I'm not much of a fan.
