Does someone feel that they have a "copy right" to those threads, or can us mortal n00bs post such threads as well, should we have a close encounter with a fitting scene and subject?

Just measuring the thickness of the ice ;)

post whatever you want. as long as it is hdr related.

The HDR shootouts were started and maintained by a handful of people who werent afraid to put it all out there. The hi res combination of shots. If any else has no such fears of losing their image then by all means post away.

I don't have anything now, but I'm always looking out for HDR fitting scenes where I'm studying.

Technically, posting your images does not mean you're losing any copyrights. There might be a legal issue of who owns the images that Member A posted and the image Member B created. I'm sure Kieth will come along and set us straight on that, though.

Posting a Shootout isn't limited to some elite few. The purpose of the forum is to learn, and if you post a set of shots and can learn from it, then mission accomplished.

Sparky when I said lose the pics I meant that when someone posts Hi Res files then while copyright isnt given up by any means, anyone can use those hi res files for any reason. If the pic was good enough they could even enter it in a contest in hopes of winning by calling it their own. Lo res files are something else again.
