HDR Snow

Those are awesome!
Do you know of any good tutorial sites where one can learn to process HDR to achieve results similar to yours?
I live up in Spokane, WA and we just got over a foot of snow and I'm itching to get away from the textbooks for a bit and learn how to process snow landscapes in HDR.
Thanks!

I just looked at a couple tutorials online, then I've made a bunch HDRs and they slowly get better.

Haven't played with HDR a whole bunch, but it came out like crap when I tried. Just curious, how are you pulling the vibrant tones (like the blue in the first pic) and the color variation/surreal effects with the second? Are you post tonemap editing as well? Thanx

Here is the work flow on the 2 below.

1. 3 raws -1 0 +1

2. Run them through photomatix

3. play with settings in photomatix. Strength, white & black point.

4. Open them up in PS. Adjust levels, saturation, then maybe run them through smart sharpen set to lens blur. Usually I use lab color sharpen but I haven't bothered with the HDRs.

Thats pretty much how I do them all. It just takes practice my first few looked horrible and some types of photos don't work well at all with hdr. You just gotta experiment.
