Kind of cliche... looks oversharpened, too much flash glare, and you cut his toe off....

It wasn't a "Posed shot" if you will, it was a in the moment kind of thing.

Was trying for a more sharpened look in b&w to add detail

Did you HDR this one? It has that risidual anti-shadow I see when there is too much HDR present.
