Hi everyone,

Thanks for the great resource. I've been lurking for some time, but finally decided that I should register so I'll better be able to use the search feature and post a question from time to time.

I'm not new to taking pictures, but I'll say that I'm somewhat new to photography. I kind of got started a few years back after my kids were born, wanting to capture moments on something more than an iPhone. I've watched a few Youtube tutorials, watched the DVD that cam with my camera, but am now looking for more.

My current camera is a Nikon D3300 that was part of a kit at Costco that came with a 18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses. I use my iPhone 6s Plus with a series of Hitcase lenses for casual photos, or when I can't take my SLR with me. I also have a new GoPro that I won at a school auction, but have yet to mess around with too much.

When I'm not working, I'm spending as much time with my 3 kids as possible. We climb, hike, ski, kayak, etc. and keep busy outside year round as often as we can.
