Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Dear Board,

New guy here. I enjoy taking pictures but I have much to learn in order to become a photographer. I just want to watch and learn and hopefully get better results from my gear. Whether it comes about by improved camera techniques or improved editing and post processing techniques makes little difference to me. I don't own any up to date camera equipment, but I've seen enough images by others that were produced with my out of date gear. or something similar, to know that I can do better with what I have than I'm currently doing.

My primary photographic interests are all outdoor related, landscapes, birds, wildlife, and simply documenting the places I visit and the things I see. Outside of photography I enjoy fishing and boating and being outside in general and I'd like to spend more time combining photography with my other outdoor pursuits.

Regards,

Tim Murphy :)

Welcome. Harrisburg is a nice place to photograph. Haven't been there in awhile though.

Dear wyogirl,

Thanks! You must know some better places than I do though? If I had to chose places to photograph I'd pick Wyoming.

I guess it's just one way of saying the grass always seems a little greener somewhere else?

Regards,

Tim Murphy :D

Always greener somewhere else. Doesn't Harrisburg have a train bridge that goes over a lake or river that is almost at water level? I feel like I rode Amtrak through Harrisburg and I remember that. Also, you have trees.... I don't have those. :lmao:

Dear Amanda,

You must be thinking of the Rockville Bridge between Marysville and Fort Hunter over the Susquehanna River? I pass it twice daily on the way to and from work, and I agree it's quite the interesting bridge. If you google it you'll probably find many pictures of the bridge. There is many a morning or evening when I pass it that I think I ought to take a picture or two, but I'm either heading to work or heading home, so I don't want to be delayed.

I've been to Wyoming a few times. I think I saw all 7 or 8 of the trees around Baggs when I fished up that way. ;)

Honestly, there is something of interest or beauty pretty much everywhere you look. I know I need to get better at recognizing that and recording it which is why I want to visit here and watch and learn.

Thank you and everyone else for the welcome!

Regards,

Tim Murphy :D
