Hello from Tampa

Hello there, Im currently living in Tampa, Fl. with my wife and 2 kids. Ive always been interested in photography and my wife got me a Nikon D40 for Christmas so I figure I better find a website for input and guidance. Ive been in the military for 14 years. A former Marine, now in the Coast Guard. I flew in CH-53's in the Marines and now I fly in H60's for the C.G. So Ive always had great access to get some really great photos, and now I can start taking and sharing them.

I havent taken anything good just yet. Ill post something hopefully soon though although im not scheduled to fly for another couple of days, and yes we can take photos while flying. We just cant sell em as they are property of the C.G.

Hi there, looks like we are just across the street from each other. The Coast Guard hanger im out of is at the St Pete-Clearwater airport.

Ok here are some helo shot, they were with an older digital camera while I was stationed in Kodiak Alaska.

This is one taken at a place called Hitchenbrook Lighthouse. Its near Cordova Alaska.
