My name is Chas, i'm a wedding photographer from France. Just found this forum online, looking forward talking photos, cameras, and lenses with you guys.
Cheers!

Hi welcome. I am on the south coast UK. Tell use more about which camera and lenses and your style of wedding photography.
I am a hobbyist and I have an out of the box approach to photography.

Hello! For the moment I use professional Nikon equipment. I have two Nikon D750. The most often used lenses are Sigma 35mm f1.4 (it's cheaper than the Nikon version and I didn't have problems with autofocus) and the Nikon 85mm f1.8G (pretty sharp starting with f2.2). During the day I use Nikon 50mm f1.4G and Nikon 14-24mm f2.8G. In my bag I also have flashes but also other accessories that enhance my creativity. The two cameras are on a dual strap camera. As for my style it's mostly photo-journalistic. I try to capture the day as it unfolds without intervening to much.

Hi Chas,
I am a canon user, with some Sigma lenses. I have to be careful which Sigma lenses I get as some will not play nice with canon cameras.
I don’t do weddings and have respect for those that do. I am better as the informal friend with a camera that captures those moments that others miss.
Sounds like your style is a mix of the two, and it sounds good fun.
Sigma lens wise I have an old style 150 600 5.6 zoom that I got at a silly price because the chap in the shop thought it was a telescope and there were bits missing. I took a chance and it’s turned out ok.
The combo of the 600 end of the zoom and the F 5.6 limits it’s use a bit as I have the 1.6 crop and this brings minimum shutter speed up to 1/1000 of a second .
