Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hello, I'm new here, but no photography, just new to non model photography.
While on Vacation I took a few pictures, and I think they turned out alright, but I don't fully understand composition without models.

So please critique away.

Some turn sign that has been shot up on an old road that goes to a pretty little lake. The smoke in the background is from the Kelowna fires

And this is a some Motorhome that was vandalized just a bit farther up the road as the sign.

Here is the pretty lake, I think it was called Beaver lake, although no beavers were spotted. Altitude 4600'.

And here is the smoke dipping into the valley over Vernon one night.

These are all un-edited, not sure how to edit photos like this.
All were shot with my D80 and 18-200
And thanks in advance :)

cool pics.
#1 i wish you hadn't clipped the sign on top
other than that they are very good shots imo
little pp would bring out the colors but i like them as they are now also

A graduated filter is a nice tool for landscapes. Especially for shots like 3 and 4. With the filter, you could have used a bit longer shutter speed to brighten up the foreground in # 4, at the same time your blue sky would expose nicely.

I think the tree in #1 is way too distracting. And I agree that you shouldn't have clipped the sign. :)

I took a few of the sign and clipped it on all of them :( I am not sure how though, I am sure I had the whole sign in the view finder though.

I do have this slightly different one of the sign though.

How is this one?

A graduated filter is something I will need to look into, I wish I had my polarized filter at least. Might have to toy around in PS and see if I can make them a bit better here.

Second sign way better over all. Better composition, exposure, color you name it.

i agree with camz.
great pic overall
