I don't think you will be happy with that set. It is very limited and I can't see if the strobes output is ajustable and if so it will not be in the tenth increments etc. I believe you guys in UK have Calumet as well , so you may be able to find a two light system that has a decent adjustable range. Will keep looking for you to see what we can find. When you pick your kit also look at the light modifiers that are available for it as well.
If you are thinking you are going to be real serious about this you can start to build a kit with one light and stand and go from there until you complete the system. A system like the one below is a decent starter kit for indoor studio use. If you have some kind of power pack that will supply power outdoors it may work for you there as well. If you are thinking outdoor portraiture as well you may want to look at a system that has a battery option as well.

You want to look at the back of the light and for the most part look over the specs. if you don't understand a certain setting or function just ask here someone will gladly answer. http://www.calumetphoto.com/eng/product/calumet_genesis_400/cf0514

thankyou so much for your reply. i have had a look but my price range is £300 max..i dont really understand about how to use the studio atall althought so any advice would knowledge would be really appreciated on a portable kit specifically for portraits and full body photography. my aim at the moment is to go around peoples houses and photography families and children.if you find anything cheaper that you think would work let me know..thankyou ..i also like the idea of having a light that can give off different colours on a plain backdrop too if you can see anything let me know, thankyou once again
