Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello all,

I’m a print artist that works with cyanotype. I share a small darkroom with my partner, who is a film photographer.

I have a small emergency, and I’m not sure if anyone has come across this issue before, but some of my cyanotype chemicals came in contact with my partner’s film. We have not tried cleaning the film off yet, but I was wondering if anyone had tried cleaning cyanotype off of film and if there are best practices that work well. I personally do not know much about film.

Any ideas would be so appreciated.

Thank you,
Amelia

Never cleaned that off a neg but I've many other liquids off. I usually start with just a water bath for 20-30 min then Photo-Flo. I have also used Kodak emulsion cleaner. I've heard you can use Isopropyl alcohol that's 98% or more but I have not tried that method.
