Help placing a date range to this photo?

There are no codes on the back of this photo to help me (if there were, they have faded). I hoping that by the deckle edge (only on the sides) and clothing you might be able to roughly when the photo was taken, within a 5 year range. For help, the guy on the right was born in 1920.

Those edges are from an instant roll film camera, the first one of which was the Polaroid 95, released in Nov of 1948, so that is the earliest that photo could have been taken. In 1963, Polaroid came out with cameras that took pack film (which had smooth edges.) They still made roll film cameras and people still used them past 1963, but it may be more likely that pack film was more common as the 60s wore on, so my guess is that the photo was taken in the 1950s.

So if the guy on the right was born in 1920, he would be 28 at the youngest in this photo. He looks older, though. Maybe 10 years older, or so? I'd say late 50s.

I recently found some old family Polaroids and posted them on my SmugMug site. I compared them to yours and noticed the ones I have are date stamped and yours is not. The edges are also different. My pics are dated 1958 which is accurate because I believe I am the kid in one of the pics and I am 65. You may be able to research what models and years had the B&W non date stamped pictures to lock into the target date even more. Good luck. Here are what mine look like Amusement Parks - Denny Noll ignore the color ones the borders were cropped off and I can't remember if they were dated or not.

I still use my father's Land Camera 100 that he bought in 1965. I also have an SX-70 in regular rotation. I love Polaroid
