Help Selecting Wide Angle Zoom

Crap ! Damn this thread :grumpy:
Now I have to go and spend money on a 10mm zoom. The pics in the links inside this thread blew me away. NOw I know at least a little of what I'm missing and must have one !!!

You won't be sorry. They are lots of fun.

Meh, costant F-stop at this level is not as important as in other areas. UWA is more a novelty or effect lens than a serious picture kinda lens. I really like my Sigma 10-20 and it has produced some awesome results for me, but its not a lens that I would call a walk-around lens.

So I guess my next question is...do all the Sigma 10-22mm fit all camera's or they have different one's for different camera's? I've seen a lot listed on ebay that say for Nikon...would that fit my Sony as well?

Your Sony alpha camera will work with lenses for the Sony mount, which is the same as the Minolta Maxxum mount.

The excellent Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens is only available for Canon and Nikon.

The Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 DC is available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Olympus and Sigma mounts.

The Tamron 11-18mm f/4-5.6 Di-II is available for Canon, Nikon and Sony mounts.

The Sony 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 DT is rather expensive.

I know but I was trying to ask if it's a Sigma 10-20mm...will that lens fit all those camera's? Or do they make a Sigma 10-20mm for the Canon, do they make a seperate one for the Nikon, seperate one for the Sony and so on. Or is it all the same lens?
