Help with color on post

Can anyone point me to a tutorial or guide me on getting started doing this type of coloring on post via photoshop?

I didn't know Adorama let's you upload your photos to their website.

Start by raising the camera ISO way up so you'll get a very noisy image.

Then use an on camera flash to get a really harsh snapshot looking light.

In Photoshop over-sharpen the photo. Then over-sharpen it some more and then maybe some more.

The example you showed was colorized. Each color there -- skin tone, lips, eyes and shirt are all single hue colors. This can be done using Photoshop's Hue/Saturation dialog. Check the box colorize to get each color you want. Then you can use the History brush to paint back what you didn't want to change. For example first do the skin color. Then do the lips and use the History brush to paint back the skin. Then do the eyes and use the History brush to paint back the skin and lips, etc..

I didn't know Adorama let's you upload your photos to their website.

I initially linked it directly from Adorama. That didn't work.
So I uploaded it to my server just to review. Im not selling the photo or claiming it as mine.
Im deleting it tomorrow.

If there is a better way to show this image under the circumstances, please let me know. I do not want to offend anyone.

Thx for the input. I have tried exactly what you said before, but there are subtle color shifts that I couldn't get from hue and saturation such as the slight bluish hue acting almost as an inner shadow. I tried various things, such as gradient maps, blending modes, and straight brushing color on and that seem to do the trick, but I have a feeling there is a more simple way of doing it. Sadly the tutorial didnt go into explaining how the colors were created... only how it was shot.
