Help with continuous ligts!

Hi! I need some advice about this continuous light kit!

Cool Flo - 900 Watt EZ Softbox 3 Light Kit w/Boom by TubeTape

I know that it isn't the best one! The thing is, one of my jobs in the place i am working is to take photos of the production they make, ant until i have taken the photos with some lights i have in my artist workshop, basically their are some halogen construction lights with self made softboxes! The problem is that thei eat much electricity, are weary hot and the studio i made is hard to reorganize if there is a need of that! Thats why I'm kind of thinking to buy this one, because i think this one could work, but earnestly i had always used self made ore '' what is in the place lights'' and i have not very much understanding about light parameters, like will the 900W bee enough and such things!

I would like to use this kit to train a bit putting lights on people and various tips of installations! Thats why I'm not buying light sets witch are meant for product photography!

If this one isn't good maybe you can advice a better one in the same price range?

If you could describe more for us the type of products and the environment in which you will be using them we might be able to help better. 300 watt continuous lights don't provide a lot of light.

Before you get the lights consider a flash and reflectors. As long as the subject doesn't move and you can get the location fairly dark you can do a Lot with just one flash and a couple of reflectors.

basically thei are diferent kind of boxes, ringbinders, color samples, fabric samples and that kind of things, nothing wery complex to light, some times there are some reflections on the products! Usualy they are on a black background and with reflectife glass under them to get a reflection! That is for the product pictures for the job!

And in the free time i like just to experement, put some compozitions together and see wat will come up useing all i got!

And like i sed i want to learn a bit to lighte some portrait lighting, see and experiment what the lite does on a beautiful girls face and body! :lol:

thanks for the advice!

I have a canon speedlite flash, but i kind of need some additional lighting, because there are quite much situations where i am useing this continuous ligts, onlly like i sed those ones i am useing are unekonomical and awkward to use, plus thei give a yellow ligt!
