Hi Everybody!
I am new to this site as well as new to photography.
I hope somebody can help me with the problem I am having with my Nikon D50.

Yesterday, I was playing around with the settings on my camera. Today, when I attached the lense to take some pics, the flashing F-- wont go away, the camera will not let me take any picutres (the focus box is red). When the shutter does press down, a black picture appears on my view screen.

What is going on??? I fully charged the battery, I re-attached the lense as well as dusted the entire camera. I am stumped.
Any thoughts??
Thanks,
Lisa

What lens are you using? Is the aperture stopped down to minimum?

i agree with them. sounds like the aperture ring isn't at the smallest opening. (it usually has to be like that in the auto- modes, unless you're in manual or aperture preferred mode)

FEE is the lens apature not set to minimum error. F-- is for when no lens or an improper lens is attached (or perhaps attached wrong?).

Probably is the aperture ring yes but if that is set to minimum use the reset button on the bottom of the camera. You will loose all your settings though.
