Help with some car shots?

been real slow at work lately so they asked if i would take some pics to put on our website.
figured it would be good practice. so any tips at all would be helpful.
close up of the new mazda 6 emblem, was trying to get our sticker in there also.

the mazda speed 3 on the showroom

and one of my few attempts at selective coloring.

first one looks out of focus, what equipment are you using?

You need more DOF in the 1st and the other 2 don't really do anything for me..but if I had to choose I would choose 3. Maybe take some shots outside of the whole car lot.

Yeah, I feel like the 'artistic depth of field' does not work for things you are supposed to read. Good idea, but wrong application I think. Maybe take the same shot, and stop down just a bit, then focus on the Z instead, so that the middle is sharp and both edges are oh so slightly out of focus.

1: Not enough depth of field.

2: eh, just doesn't "work"

3: I like this shot but maybe get a little lower to the ground and slightly farther away.

ALOT better!! I still think that the car lot's name should be the focus and not the emblem.

well thats what i was going for in the first pic, but i guess i need to have a larger dof and focus on the 6 with the rest more legible.

What f number are you using?

i would try something around f/8 for the emblem/ dealer logo
