Help!!

Am brand new 2 photography, I have a bridge camera fujifilm s4000 looking 2 get a dslr soon as. Trying 2 get my head around all the aperture, shutter speed knowing how and when 2 have them on the right setting, it's alot 2 take in,am into wildlife mainly birds, anyway if anyone could give me and tips or advise it would be truly great full thank u...

I'm a beginner too and some advice I can give you from what I've personally experienced is keep reading various books, websites on aperture, shutter speed and ISO then put what you read into practice the way I started learning was found something simple take a coffee cup set the manual settings take the picture and see what you get keep adjusting both settings until you start to understand what lowering the shutter speed does, or increasing the shutter speed does. You mentioned that your into wildlife in particular birds so assuming your going to be taking pictures as they fly or fly away a high shutter speed is most likely going to be appropriate but maybe not always the case.

Another thing you can do to learn more is find certain images you like or would like to re create yourself, post the image on here and ask other members (the ones that have been around a while) how the other photography most likely got to the finished result of the picture.

As I said I am still a beginner too but I would personally say I'm picking things up relatively easily (For now anyway). On a site note please don't type like you forgot what English is, 2 is not the same as to/too

Haha sorry Tom guess it's just laziness... But anyway thanks 4 the advise really helped. I guess with time and practice I will understand more,the more time I spend with my camera the more I want to learn and get better... I've only got a old laptop so looking 2 upgrade it.. Thanks again mate!!
