What's new

Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve

I just threw my bottle collection out a month ago...I did keep one bottle...my Jewel of Russia Ultra...eighty dollar vodka...I'll take a photo of it later tonight when I get home. Any suggestions as how to do it? I don't have any external flash yet...not much for lighting....

Well that one I took it at a lunge a friend's bout to start promoting. I didn't use any external light but they had some red LEDs under it that they turned on and I just put the camera in 1/4 shutter speed and took it. Surprised how it came out because it was hand held and I was on my toes pretty much trying to balance myself.

I'd say put a light under and hit it it w/ higher shutter speed. Something like this?

just...not...feelin'...the...love...for....the...horizontal...crop...nor...the...tilt...

I happen to love the tilt with the bottles. It gives it an interesting look and perspective that I feel helps focus attention to the bottle...

I posted this over in "Beyond Basics" only to find out (actually I could have simply looked at the titles) that this board is the only photo gallery that gets looked at.

I was responding to this photo, just as a clarification...

What do you think I could do in the future to make this shot appealing for you? :greenpbl:

I think I'll take a photo of my favorite beer, Warsteiner, the next time I get the hanckering for a good room-temperature beer...mmm....
