I took these the other day

The lighting in this one wasn't the best, but I still like it.

These are great, what a wonderful smile the baby has! I think I read on your website that you use natural lighting only, right? Do you use a reflector at all? I think that would have helped here, especially to lighten up the eyes which are lost in shadow.

These are spectacular! I'm really impressed with the lighting here! Natural light is wonderful!

Oh yeah Welcome to the forum! Always great to have another Texan!

Great work  For me the eyes are so important in portraiture, so having the light hit his eyes make the whole picture sparkle. Try a reflector sometime, can be as simple as some cardboard covered with foil, give you all that much more time to shoot when harsh daylight creates shadows.

Or even simpler :P to use a piece of paper! or cardstock works well.

Cardstock is great because you can get it in different shades to give a different mood to the photo :) I sat outside the Picture People the other day at the mall watching what they used for props. I was shocked at how simple they were, and also that they took about 3-4 photos TOPS for the session
