2,3, and 4 are great. The first one is somewhat shot by having the large "trunk" blocking his back end. The problem with #5 is that the background is too cluttered and this draws attention away from the main subject - #4 is better.

Nice shots! I'm so jealous of all these bird photos I'm seeing the last few days--I feel like it's been FOREVER since I've gotten to stalk any birds--it's either too rainy, or I'm working or out of town.

Thank you WesternGuy. I could not figure out if that big trunk was cool or not cool. I did intentionally leave the wide angle background stuff in the picture 5. For some reason I like the environment. Definitely different from cropping to get rid of as much as possible.
