Very nice picture especially for only having a 55mm lens, you must have been close!

probably about 15 foot, with a little cropping. hoping to get a bigger lens for some more stuff like that at a greater distance!

Really good shot. Exposure is good, focus is on target, colors are very vibrant, nice simple composition that works. Good capture.

Very nice shot. The color of the water really brings out this shot. These birds are really neat to watch. We actually use to have one here in Ohio that came to visit our small lake/pond in our subdivision about once a week. He always kept his eye on you. There was no getting close to him. I did get a few pictures from across the lake tho with my point and shoot. I really wish I had my dslr back then.
