While these birds are still the stealthy hunters, during their "season" they get all lovey-dovey and show a much more tender side. Mind you, I still wouldn't want to be the fish they were stalking.

For weeks on end, they fly back and forth from the nest to areas where they can pick up loose sticks or branches to reinforce the nest which are pretty much open to the elements, much like that of an Osprey. On many occasions, after the male returns with a new stick, seemingly his reward is the proverbial "quickie." All in all, it's a fun ritual to watch.

(Note** These are all pretty extreme crops from a distance of around 200 feet.)
