Hello All!
I am new to the forum and new indeed to dSLR photography. I just bought a used Nikon D80 with an Nikkor 18-105mm lens and battery grip. Before that I shot with a non-dSLR Panansonic DMC-FZ28, which still is a great camera and has served me well. I missed some options though, so decided to go with a second hand D80 to see how that fits me.
I'm 28, besides photography I love cars, cooking and the hundreds of bars of Amsterdam
I shoot my pictures in and around Holland. One of the reasons for switching to dSLR is the recent trip I took to the nurburgring (racetrack in germany). Besides driving there myself, I loved taking pics, but a lot of the pics just wouldnt work out because of lag or lack of settings. Here's a few examples from the Panasonic from back then.
I plan to take better pics then that with the dSLR and a lot of practice!
