hi...i'm new and already have a question.

hi, as i was looking in my mom's dark room last night i found one of her old cameras. a Canon "AE-1 PROGRAM" i was wondering how good it was. lately i've been seeing lots of pics at the other forum i frequent (ST of PBN).
so..i decided to see what i could find out about getting into photography. thanks for your help and cant wait to spend more time here

decent camera. if you are just starting out, this is a good thing to have in your hands as it's manual. only one mode of metering, but the reality is that isn't an issue.

It is a pretty good camera and you can still buy lenses for it. Not new but many lenses are availble from KEH and others that sell used lenses. I've still got the AE-1 and use it.
