Me, in the early 80's, shooting a 4-H fair. Pentax MX, probably with a 50mm f/1.7 SMC, along with a Sunpak 522.

I was going through some old photos and stumbled across this. I had totally forgotten it existed. It was taken by a local paper photographer and he made a print for me. So I scanned it and posted it here for your bemusement and amusement.

Shockingly, it does not appear to be out dated. Could have been worse.

Other than the sunpak giving it away . I did not see a mullet , so had you not said something it would have been hard to pin it down for sure. The ladies hair styles are a little dated but nothing like a guy with a mullet to really let you know the 80's are in effect.

Remember.... this is from the 80's. The sexes were generally kept separated.

I'm sure they're just nervous as the judge hasn't been around yet.

Funny thing about those old fairs.

Wednesday was the sheep show, so the concession stand sold things like Lamb Burgers.
Thursday was the hog show, so the Pork Producers sold pork products.
Friday night was the big cattle to-do, so it was beef in all the food sold.

Saturday was the horse show...................
