I'm from East London UK and I have just joined.
I know very little about photography and I have a Nikon D3200. I do take landscape pictures but most of my photographs are of our dog in various poses. (He's quite active).
I tend do do what I feels right as opposed to knowing what I'm doing.
This is one of several pictures I took today.... which I think is ok but I'd be happy for someone to put me right on things.

Dog is mostly vertical, so turn your camera the same orientation as your subject.

Watch for busy backgrounds to avoid background clutter.

Frame the entire subject, don't chop off his lower body.
