Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hi! Just joined the forum and am looking forward to sharing some works of mine as well as receiving advice/criticism. I've always taken pictures, but the ball didn't really start rolling until my gf got me my first camera kit, a Nikon D5300. I eventually moved on to a D750 and currently mostly shoot with a Nikon Z6. Most of my shots are macro and nature, but I do take other pictures when my eyes see the right opportunity.

Welcome aboard.

Seems to me, the problem with my photo's is I never learned to take a good photo in the first place. I suspect most f us are like I dot my7self to where I liked what I got and pretty much quit learning! I get a lot more photos today thatI like but now wonder if they are really any good. I think some of the problem comes from editing. Hell it seems you can make a photo look anyway you want with creative editing. Seeming to me the most important part of photography is learning to edit to achieve the image you want!

The most impartant part is getting out with the camera. Second most important is finding a subject. Third is composing the image in your minds eye and trying to catch is on the camera. Depending on the subject, you might have minutes to compose, like with a stationary subject, or you might only have seconds, like with a butterfly or a bird in flight. Often I'll capture a larger area than what I need so that later I can crop the composition to what I want. In the end, getting out and getting the shots is most of the work and most of the fun.

After a while, you'll learn to "edit" in the camera and only make tweaks in post.
