In this case a Male - Greater Spotted Woodpecker- he was on the wall to the rear of my house yesterday morning- eyeing up the feeder- every time I raised the camera he ducked- I finally nailed this shot :)

Sony a7Riv + Sony 100-400mm G lens + Sony 1.4x Teleconverter

That's a great closeup. Good isolation and I like the background colors.

Sometimes I think they deliberately make a game of it... Nice catch! Nice reflection in the eye.

That's a great closeup. Good isolation and I like the background colors.
My feeder and Pool - always attracts wildlife like this chap shame I clipped his tail :( - Thank you for the comments :)

Bother vey nice shots, timing is critical when you run into twitchy subjects like that. Love the reflection in #2.

I had tried to plan for that Kirk- unfortunately I knock the tripod as I tokk the shot and lost a little of his tail- maybe next time hey?

Both images shot on my garden pond too
