Photos NOT OK to edit
Okay, here are some low-light/high ISO shots with the D700, all taken with my Nikkor 28-70/f2.8, hand-held.

These were resized only, no sharpening. One book shot, and of Anne are cropped.

Oh my! There's cameras offering you an ISO of 4000 these days?
Mine goes up to 1600, and the photos all need to go through Neat Image, else they cannot be presented (unless I WANT noise to show) ... I'm in awe. Wish I could update my equipment, but no chance! All too costly. Sigh.

You should just think of 102k ISO on the D3S, and 1DMkIV

I CANNOT think of that! Since I don't KNOW about it ... and all the possibilities I might have, were I able to afford some better equipment. And it it'd only be a replacement for my faulty telephoto lens... sigh again!

This one goes to 6400 in standard mode, but will go all the way to 25,600 ISO!

It's this high ISO/low noise that made me buy this thing......:blushing:
