Hey guys,

Where is the best place online to upload my photos to get high resolution prints made? Thanks in advance for the help.

There are plenty of great labs online.
Mpix
Mpixpro
WHCC
H&H color lab
Bayphoto
Meridian
Mckenna

What is a high resolution print? The pixel dimensions of the photo define it's resolution. The number of those pixels-per-inch will determine the size of the print.

Do you want chromogenic prints, giclée prints, inkjet prints, or offset press prints?

Tell us how the prints will be used. Home display? Portfolio? Commercial?

I use MPix and LOVE what has come out of their labs.

Let me rephrase.... I want to upload RAW files, and have prints of them made. None of my local shops do anything other than JPEG, TIFF, etc.

Raw files are not images, they are just data - 100111010001110101010111000101000101010101110000101101101010101010101010101010101000001010100100111011000101010101001001010101010110.........

They have to be converted to an image file type in a Raw converter.

would the Adobe DNG converter do the trick?

No.

.DNG is still a Raw file type, still just 1's and 0's and not an image.

Converting from say .cr2 or .nef, to .dng does not entail demosaicing (converting) the data into an image.

So what should I convert the images to to get the highest quality prints?

If your local shop allows TIFF, use it. When you save as TIFF, you should be given the option of various compression formats, including "none" (no compression, no loss of quality). I believe LZW compression is lossless too.
