Not all of the action on the field is centered around the ball.

1. Good and clean. Probably would've gone for a full body shot though
2. Don't use black and white unless there is purpose.
3. Seem pretty noisy. Also you cut a little of the QB's foot off
4. Kind of awkward with all the feet cut off and no faces.
5. Little noisy, but definitely best shot of the bunch.
6. Good photo but don't forget the rule of thirds.

I agree with TonysTouch; not all the action is centered on the ball. Building on that though, find shots and angles that people can't see from the stands or tv or anywhere else.

The first is VERY green. Obviously the black and white isn't green, but the others are slightly green.
