Took a overnight hiking trip with a few friends, these are all quick shots except the waterfall one. Really didnt have time mess with aperture/shutterspeed.

that's a great waterfall shot. There's something aesthetically pleasing about falling water. But it adds beauty to a lot of scenes.

I like 2 the best. The colour of the sky against the trees is awesome.

4's composition is very well done, and 5 has some great leading lines - right into the picture!

I like these a lot, however I am concerned about your B/W (black and white) conversion. Photograph number one is too dark and number three is too light.

Both most likely had plenty of green in them. Adjust the white balance to make the photograph cooler then you the channel mixer. Just a thought. If you want more detail, just ask.

Yeah the first one i tried to make the back darker b/c it was distracting with color.
