How is it the bus body came off the bus chassis?
Kudos the bus had seat belts, but seat belts don't do a lot of good if they aren't anchored to something solid.

Physics. Average loaded weight of a dump tuck is 72K pounds. Average loaded weight of a school bus is 34K pounds. The body separating actually absorbed a great deal of force that would have otherwise impacted the passengers.

As a motorcyclist I see dump trucks as the most dangerous things on the road. Tied with logging truck around here. In reality 2 fatalities is a fortunate outcome in an accident of that magnitude.

I seen this on the news said the same thing, holy **** Really lucky there wasn't more fatalities and I agree that the body separation saved lives.

Some of these bus drivers should be screened better,one lady that use to drive my kids to school had at least two accidents I know of the same year. she backed into a pole then a few months later scraped a park car.I believe she was terminated from her job after because my kids have a new driver with no issues.
