Day started out fairly normal, until I noticed a body floating in my pond! First thing I did was grab my camera (of course). The events that follow are true, and no names have been changed.

1. The body

2. After calling the nature police, a crack team of investigators showed up.

3. After canvassing the area, one name kept popping up. The the suspect emerged from his hiding spot.

4. Here he is again, from another angle.

After being spotted, the suspect jumped into the water and escaped. Be on the lookout. He's nothing but trouble.

the frog killed a bird? Is that a bird? Cool frog.

I think that he did. Bullfrogs are known bird eaters, and he's just about large enough. If it was too large for him, or put up a fight it would have been dropped, hence the drowning. Unfortunatly I didn't have the settings good enough for the water shots. The morning light was playing with me. Very bright in the frog area, very dim in the bird area. I didn't want to startle the 'suspect', but missed focus on the bird shots.

Thanks for looking.

Dang imagine if that frog ate the bird whole. That'd be some crazy stuff. Damn nature.
I get those frogs in my pool sometimes, unfortunately they get stuck in the filter chamber thing and die.

The frog shots look cool, but the bird and fish one's could use some work. Pick up some crickets from the pet store and bring them to him. Try and get some national geographic shots outta that guy. Then send him to jail for MURDER!!!

Thanks for the comments. I agree the bird and fish shots are lacking. I had a bit of a struggle getting setting changes between the frog/fish area. Even though they were literally 5 feet apart, the shadows in the fish area were much greater than the frog area. And trying not to move, makes it difficult to adjust f/ aperature and ISO!

I have a lot of nests around in the yard due to the easy access to water. This was a young one. Just what the bullfrog likes!

Nice shot on the frog. Give the frog a weekly allowance so he can go to KFC and leave the babies alone.
