Hooray!!

The sun came to dear old blighty today!! well in some parts, I was driving across Dartmoor, which is a wild and wonderful place, could hardly see the car ahead of me because of fog, then over the crest of a hill, I couldn't see anything because of the blazing sunshine!! Weird I tell thee.

Then this appeared at the side of the road so I shot it

Very interesting photo! Even more interesting may be the history of this thing. Is it a tombstone? and why is this plot of land green when everything else around it is brown.

I really like this, especially with three main colours (blue, brown and green). The foreground feature is great too. Well done!
Perhaps the sky could be a touch darker?

I don't really know, apparently it's called Bennets Cross, but nobody really knows why either - more information here

I love Dartmoor. Used to love climbing to the top of the Tors, but yeah, it's one of those weird places where one second it's bright sunshine, and then seconds later you can't see a foot in front of you for fog!
