So I was out and about a nature reserve looking for macro inspiration and not finding any.
I noticed a few hoverflies milling about and decided to have a go at photographing one mid-flight.
The suckers are the size of a peanut and change direction quicker that a teenage mood swing.
After about 1 hour of sudden neck movements I was getting dizzy, but did not give up.
I thought I got the shot but could not really tell until I got back home to a large computer screen:
One shot from hundreds. Most difficult pic I ever took.
Shutter speed was 1/2500
