I have the pages of my book on individual Word files. How do I get it imported to LR4? I tried to import the Word folder but it said 'no photos found.'

Lightroom is pretty limited in the range of file types it can handle. I don't think Word files (.doc, .docx) are one of them.

Uhhhh, why do you want/need them in Lightroom? You can't fix an authors skewed viewpoint with the perspective correction tool.

Umm, funny you should ask. That same, exact question came up YESTERDAY on the creativelive.com on-line course, Lightroom 101, taught by Jared B. Platt. I was about half-listening to his reply. As I recall, Mr. Platt said that it was not possible to do that in the BOOK module, but in the print module I believe it was, you would open a new page, and then as he said, "Just copy and then paste-in your text from your word processing document," and then when finished, save and EXPORT the new page, and then import that newly-created file in to the Book module.

[Please be aware that my answer might not be 100% accurate as to which module he said the new file had to be created in....but this question WAS asked, and answered very clearly, but I was not really paying 100% attention to the webcast since I was on a phone call when he discussed this issue of pasting-in word processing text to get it into a Book project.]

He mentioned multiple other instances where Adobe's design team has made some incredibly bone-headed omissions and glaring "duh!" gaffes, like the inability to place simple keyline borders around book images...while retaining what he lampooned as "last decade" so-called "dirty borders"...

What Platt was trying to say in his lessons yesterday is that Adobe's designers are still missing some really elementary functionality, and he cannot figure out "why". He thought this need to switch modules to do a simple text paste-in was.... ______________.

Convert your text to a jpg and treat it as an image. Just got through doing this somI know this works, just use a simple clean font.
