How Do I Put Watermarks on my Photos

How do I add a watermark to an image for like, a website?

simply, just add your name or 2008 or whatever you want it to say and then lower the opacity of it.

Talk to me like a dim child... what does opacity mean?

that is how transparent it is...but thats in photoshop. I dont know any other way of doing it.

Ya opacity means how translucent it is. At full strength, something is what it is. When lowering opacity, it makes it more and more ghost like.

You could probably even do it in paintshop? or something. What do you have for a program?

I've Microsoft Paint, and Picasa.. I'll check out Picture Shark

Are there any good programs besides Microsoft paint Photoshop and Picture Shark? Picture Shark has only given me a headache so far.

It can be done in Adobe Lightroom.
