How is the Forum Run?

I just thought of this, how is TPF run/taken care of? Technically wise that is. Is it through a server, more than one, what OS, is it at Chase's residence? If I'm allowed to know, please tell me! Thanks.

It's owned by Chase, hosted by a hosting company and not at his house. The forum is its own software built on php that interfaces with a sql db (again, hosted by the hosting company) most likely on a linux server running apache. We don't get enough traffic here to warrant a dedicated. My guess is it's shared.

Alpha is correct, however we do in fact run on a dedicated server. When the site was first starting, I did actually host it out of my house at first. Unfortunately, my DSL connection wasn't stable enough (even though the speed at that time was plenty), so I moved off to a hosted server and have since moved it twice. We've been on a dedicated server for about 2 years now probably, and have actually upgraded from a smaller one to a larger one.

Its a single server running Linux. I don't recall the specs offhand.
