Photos OK to edit
Most of the times, I add about 15% on the slider. Sometimes I go slightly higher depends on the photos. Just curious, what about you guys?

Oops, I meant, "How much saturation do you add on your photos?

+8 to +15 usually.

Depends on the photo.

Sometimes more sometimes less sometimes (rarely) taking a little out.

I will oft go into the colour channels for saturation and desaturate the cyan channel (how much depends - anything from a little to fully desaturated) when I tend to get a slight blue colour cast (esp over white areas).

Hopefully never more than the viewer will say the colors don't look real. A light touch on all the sliders so the viewer doesn't say it looks Photoshopped.

I like vibrance in photoshop better actually. It really depends on my subject as far as giving you a solid number though. If anything, I will go with Sparky on this one, -100 to +35.

This^

I've got Saturation cranked up a little in camera, so I generally don't have to add much in post processing. Now on occasion I will have to subtract some but not much more than -20 to -5.

I noticed the red color on the subject tends to over saturate. I have to decrease the slider a little. Has anyone experienced that?

I like vibrancy as well. Much better result.

Really depends on the image but normally 0-10. I will vary significantly when needed though probably into the -100 to 30-40 range.

minimal.. usually i go to the color channel to boost it higher. I dont like global saturation.

What slider? I add 0 in Lightroom. My color comes out perfectly automatically with a combination of custom WB and color profiling. Most enhancements to color or saturation beyond the import presets are done locally in PS or with controlled use of filters in Color Efex Pro. Occasionally I apply custom presets in LR. Usually I don't want to add any saturation to a portrait.

I'm not even touching saturation slider. Others adjustment I make usually produce more saturation so I tend to desaturate or use different blend modes to desaturate.

red, some orange, purple... I hate those colors when editing! I always desaturate them and they look awful to me, they can't stand much alteration. but that's just me!

Isn't it better to adjust contrast and exposure to achieve a desired look than fiddling with saturation?
