How to convert RAW into jpgs?

I used to use Capture One by Phase One, when I had WinXP on my pc computer.

Now that I have a new 64bit computer, Phase One is horrible to use. It's a total joke, as well as the "customer service". There is simply zero reason to use this product now; it sets you BACK just by using it. I'm several HOURS behind now, trying to use this piece of junk.

What software can I get, to GET THE JOB DONE? In Photoshop CS4, I can turn RAW images into jpgs, but I can't apply the change to one, to a group of images, at least not that I can see.

What software is easy to use, where I can actually get the job done?

= ) I was playing with my camera when it was new.. and took a whole bunch in RAW form. I didnt know about this place to ask. So I called Canon. They walked me through it with the software that came with my camera-

The simple answer is to use the software that came with your camera.

The best answer is Adobe Lightroom.

Personally, I prefer Manufacturer's raw converters.

Interesting. I always got good response from Phase One customer service. I don't use it anymore, however, since my 7D isn't supported in my version and I don't feel like spending the $$ to upgrade to the new release.

I have the 7D like you. I used the software that came with my camera to convert the RAW pictures.

Sure, you can do that with RAW images in ACR, Adobe Camera Raw, as far as change just one and apply that change to a bunch of other RAW images.

CS4 also has does batch processing. With the CS4 editing workspace open click on FILE > Automate and pick Batch or start building youself a library of Droplets.

Do you know what Actions are? That's another way you can do the same sequence of steps on multiple images.
